Bryan, OH - March 2001: SpanglerCandy is taking to the streets, literally, with the Dum Dum Pops® name, displaying the company's flagship brand on the company's newly designed truck fleet.
The fleet features two 53-foot van trailers, two sugar/syrup tankers, two Mack Vision tractors and a Chrysler mini-van. The vehicle graphics include the Dum Dum Pops roller coaster logo and giant-sized Dum Dum Pops. The Dum Dum Drum Man, Spangler's mascot since 1966, also is shown on the sides of the trucks.
"The trucks really catch your eye," said Dean L. Spangler, President and CEO of Spangler Candy Company. "Our new truck design pictures the quality of our product in extra-large size, and we are proud to take the word about Dum Dum Pops on the road. In effect, each of our trucks becomes a rolling billboard for our Dum Dum brand."
The new design was put on the trucks by Ferrari Color, photographic color specialists from Sacramento, Calif. "With the new graphic technology available, the capability of printing larger-than-life product is better than ever," said Maggi Ferrari, President of Ferrari Color. "As a company, we just loved working with Spangler Candy because their product is so visual, so fun and so colorful."
