Brand Manager: Spangler is looking for a creative and energetic Brand Manager to lead its iconic Valentine candy brand, Sweethearts, into a new era of growth and success.
The Brand Manager has the authority and primary responsibility for recommending, implementing and directing the assigned marketing and brand management strategies, pricing and programs for Sweethearts. The ideal candidate is able to demonstrate a balance between both product and brand management while making certain activities conform to Management’s objectives and corporate policies.
• Directs and manages advertising, PR, promotions and primary market research for assigned brands
• Develops new products and implements product & packaging improvements.
• Recommends product extensions and deletions.
• Researches, recommends and develops promotional support to increase distribution of Spangler products.
• Analyzes syndicated market research activities (AC Nielsen/IRI) and other marketing software.
• Analyzes sales data and advises Director-Marketing trends and impacts.
• Monitors competitive activity, market trends and customer needs and reports these to Director-Marketing.
• Promote and strengthen the assigned brand(s) using social media platforms.
• Reviews, recommends and uses social media tools and analytics to develop a baseline and track growth in social media outlets.
• Directs and oversees owned media channels for assigned brands
Qualified candidates will demonstrate the following:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business Management.
Minimum three (3) years CPG marketing experience.
Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office. Highly attentive to details. Values accuracy and a precise approach to work tasks. Strong innovative, analytical skills and creativity to develop new ways to problem-solve. Must be able to be flexible to adapt to a rapidly changing distribution channel. Successful candidate will possess a positive, supportive and team-oriented attitude. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proactively takes action to develop appropriate solutions.
Ist Shift Lab Technician/Quality Assurance Floater: Primary Responsibilities: Performing various ingredient qualitative and quantitative analysis using standard tests and equipment, conducting various packaging and competitive product analysis, interprets and records results. Provides support for the Quality Department during vacations and absences.
3rd Shift Technical Assistant/Quality Assurance: Primary Responsibilities: Performing various ingredient qualitative and quantitative analysis using standard tests and equipment, conducting various packaging and competitive product analysis, interprets and records results. Provides support for the Quality Department during vacations and absences.
Machinist (Support Services): Plans, lays out and performs progressive machining and assembling operations using all types of typical machine tools involving a variety of difficult setups and machining methods to produce parts in accordance with specifications and to close tolerances
Steam Systems Utility Technician: Plans and performs required work and repairs to boiler systems, water/well systems, gas systems, HVAC and steam associated control systems, compressed air, and system-related equipment and other steam system related equipment. Ohio High-Pressure Boiler Operator License required.
Refrigeration/Utilities Technician: Plans and performs required work and repairs to plant air conditioning systems, HVAC controls and other associated A/C and refrigeration related equipment. Plans and performs required insulation work and repairs. EPA Universal (Type I, II and III) Refrigeration certificate required.
Candy Packer: Spangler Candy, a world class candy manufacturer, is currently seeking Candy Packers to fill full-time positions on 2nd shift. Starting wages $15.40-$18.53 plus 0.35 shift premium. Pay increase after probationary period, and pay increase at one year employment.
2nd and 3rd Shift Process Mechanics: Process Mechanic responsibilities include: Repairs, rebuilds and troubleshoots process equipment on the production floor and throughout the plant. Responsible for maintenance and adjustment of equipment to provide a quality product at an efficient, productive level. Works closely with the production process striving to improve quality and efficiency. Wage: $23.50 plus shift premium and additional incentive bonus opportunities.
