Traffic Processor/Customer Service Representative:

Position Responsibilities: Provides efficient, courteous customer service through email, telephone and personal contacts. Handles all details of the shipping process and serves as liaison between the carriers, customers, brokers, and various departments. Resolves routine customer questions and complaints or refers to higher levels. Maintains records, prepares required reports, performs related typing/word processing and clerical duties and operates a computer.

Position Qualifications: Ability to read, write, follow instructions, perform mathematical calculations, record /report information and draw conclusions from visual and/or physical inspection of assigned tasks. Minimum of High School education with knowledge of general office procedures. Ideal candidate will also possess good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Project Engineer: This position will coordinate and manage engineering and technical development projects.

Primary responsibilities include: Providing investigation, leadership, direction, and resources to resolve process problems. Facilitates and contributes to the development of project plans and designs. Analyzes equipment, systems, processes and systems to identify modifications to improve efficiency, increase quality and reduce costs. Collaborates with the operations department to identify and troubleshoot problems. Creating updated electrical circuit designs that follow the guidelines set by the NEC during machine or electrical rebuilds/updates. Assists the safety department with electrical machine safeguarding techniques that conform to OSHA guidelines. Providing technical advice and performing project analysis/justification, and recommending new equipment or modifications to existing equipment for presentation and approval.

Qualified candidates will demonstrate the following:

·         Bachelor’s degree in related engineering discipline required.

·         3 +years of experience working in the engineering field in a manufacturing setting.

Industrial & Systems Engineer:  Primary responsibilities include: applying industrial engineering techniques to the manufacturing process to generate effective cost reduction, controls and optimization of complex processes or systems. Designs and plans process layout, workflow and safety precautions to maximize the production of food processing operations. Continuous improvement efforts focused on making sustainable gains in reliability, safety, quality, cost and delivery. Methods for achieving and sustaining improvements based on lean fundamentals.

Qualified candidates will demonstrate the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience working in the engineering field in a manufacturing setting.

General Accounting Manager:  The General Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing and supervising accounting department employees and responsible for day-to day supervision and leadership in the accounting department and all areas relating to financial reporting. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. The General Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner.

Typical responsibilities of the General Accounting Manager include: maintain the general ledger system, administer the monthly closing process, and ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information, year-end audit preparation and support of budget and analysis of budgets. Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, coordinate accounts payable and assist as needed, process monthly broker commission payments

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required with 2-4 years of experience as an accountant, accounting supervisor or manager or Associates Degree in Accounting with 3-5 years of experience as an accountant, accounting supervisor or manager.

Successful candidate will possess a positive, supportive and team oriented attitude. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal, supervisor and customer service skills required. Use logic to analyze, problem solve, explore alternatives and propose quality solutions. Strong computer proficiency in MS Office. High attention to detail and accuracy.

Channel Director – Food:  Has the primary responsibility for has the authority and the primary responsibility for maximizing FOOD channel sales volume with assigned accounts. Responsible for overall FOOD channel planning, goals & objectives and budgeting. Plans, implements, supervises and follows-up on sales activities with assigned FOOD key accounts. Maintains customer focus by establishing one on one relationships with assigned accounts. Conducts seasonal presentations, category reviews and plan-o-gram reviews with assigned customers.

Qualified candidates will demonstrate the following:

·         Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business Management.

·         Minimum 10+ years of experience in food class of trade-Kroger, Albertsons, Ahold, HEB, Publix.

·         Proficiency and knowledge of the digital and online space

·         Strong analytical skills, critical thinking and planning

·         Successful candidate will possess a positive, supportive and team oriented attitude.

·         Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

·         Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills

Cost Accounting Assistant-Incentive: The Company is accepting resumes/applications for this position that will also include back-up payroll responsibilities.

Primary responsibilities include assisting in completing payroll following standard procedures, providing timely and accurate tracking/calculation of production incentive and mechanical/indirect bonuses, efficiency reporting, and maintaining clerical direct product cost system.

Back-up payroll responsibilities include computing earnings based on timekeeper’s report and individual time cards, preparing and posting calculated data on payroll sheets, showing worker’s name, working days, working hours, time rate, total payroll, overtime premium, deductions, taxes and other allowances. Must have full knowledge of all payroll routines and procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. In addition, the ability to maintain confidentiality, and proficient intermediate level computer skills. Minimum of high school education with knowledge of general accounting and general office procedures is required. 

Steam Systems Utility Technician:  Plans and performs required work and repairs to boiler systems, water/well systems, gas systems, HVAC and steam associated control systems, compressed air, and system-related equipment and other steam system related equipment.  Ohio High-Pressure Boiler Operator License required.

Refrigeration/Utilities Technician:  Plans and performs required work and repairs to plant air conditioning systems, HVAC controls and other associated A/C and refrigeration related equipment.  Plans and performs required insulation work and repairs.  EPA Universal (Type I, II and III) Refrigeration certificate required.

Candy Packer:  Spangler Candy, a world class candy manufacturer, is currently seeking Candy Packers to fill full-time positions on 2nd shift. Starting wages $15.40-$18.53 plus 0.35 shift premium. Pay increase after probationary period, and pay increase at one year employment. 

2nd and 3rd Shift Process Mechanics: Process Mechanic responsibilities include:  Repairs, rebuilds and troubleshoots process equipment on the production floor and throughout the plant.  Responsible for maintenance and adjustment of equipment to provide a quality product at an efficient, productive level.  Works closely with the production process striving to improve quality and efficiency. Wage: $23.50 plus shift premium and additional incentive bonus opportunities.
