Spangler Foundation Formed - Dean Spangler, President & CEO, announced on April 1st, 2005 the establishment of The Spangler Foundation, funded by the contribution of Spangler Candy common stock, and the official kick-off of the company's 100th anniversary, to be celebrated starting in late 2005 and through all of 2006. |

Spangler Museum/Store Opens - The Spangler Candy Company Store & Museum opened in December 2005. The museum features historical information in a timeline fashion, along with samples of products and other artifacts from years past. A video history of the company runs continuously in the museum. The store offers Spangler products and "Save Wraps for Stuff" items. |

Spangler Hosts Banquet - Spangler Candy Company hosts the annual Bryan Chamber of Commerce Banquet in Warehouse K, converted to a dining hall and reception area. The 2006 Chamber program includes the Silent Auction, Bryan Good Citizen Award, Athena Award Winner, special Spangler Candy program, and tours through our factory on our new Spangler Candy 'Dum Dum Trolley'. |

New Flavors Introduced - To commemorate a sweet century in business, Spangler Candy introduced four new flavors to the Dum Dum Pops assortment, bringing the total flavors to 16+1 (+1 being the Mystery Flavor™). The new flavors are Cherry Cola and Pink Lemonade, and two "retro" flavors - Banana (first introduced in 1960) and Cocount-Pineapple (first introduced in 1953). |

Bryan Jubilee Parade - Downtown Bryan, Ohio's annual Jubilee Parade is on Saturday, June 17th, celebrating Spangler Candy with the parade theme: "A Century...Sweet!" The parade starts at 5:30 pm, following a full week of activities including the downtown Jubilee carnival fair and a special laser light show spotlighting Spangler Candy on Friday night, June 16th at 10 pm. |

Spangler Releases 100-Year History - "A Sweet Century: The 100-Year History of Spangler Candy Company and the Spangler Family", by author William L. Culbertson, is released in August 2006. This 18-chapter book, with a foreword by President and CEO Dean L. Spangler, features interesting stories and historical photographs that give the reader a vivid picture of what it was like to grow a successful, family-owned business from the ground up. |
