Key Account Development Manager Kevin Gallagher joins Spangler

4/29/98 --  Don Rowland, Vice President - Sales, has announced the appointment of Kevin Gallagher as Key Account Development Manager.  In this position, Kevin will focus on key accounts, new business development, and the convenience store class of trade.

A native of Pittsburgh, PA, Kevin is an alumnus of Slippery Rock University where he majored in Business Administration.  He achieved All American honors in swimming and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.

His career in the food business started with Frito Lay where he was a district manager in the Western Pennsylvania market.  He later worked for Boyer Candy in Altoona, Pennsylvania, and Van Melle in Erlanger, Kentucky.  At Van Melle, he was the regional sales manager in the Northeast representing successful brands such as Mentos and Airheads.  He attained "Regional Sales Manager of the Year" during his four year tenure.  Most recently, Kevin was an account executive with Sunline Brands, a division of the Sunmark Company and owned by Nestle, where he concentrated on the convenience store class of trade.

Kevin will reside in Bryan, Ohio, with his wife Barbara, his daughter Amanda, and his son, Patrick.
