Spangler Candy Congratulates Sales Director

Sales Director Lloyd Bryant is inducted into the NCSA Candy Hall of Fame

9/1/97 -- Spangler Candy congratulates Lloyd Bryant, Central Region Sales Director, who has been inducted into the NCSA (National Confectionery Sales Association) Hall of Fame. The NCSA association has been in existence for more than 95 years. The purpose of the Hall of Fame is to recognize member's notable accomplishments as they seek to develop the growth of confectionery products in a professional and ethical manner to manufacturers, customers, members, and the community.

Lloyd Bryant, born June 27, 1946 in Gastonia, NC, is a 27-year industry veteran. He attended John Burroughs High School in Burbank, CA, and graduated from California State University in Northridge, CA. He held a series of posts at American Chicle Group from 1970 to 1980, then moved on to Switzer Licorice for a year as Western Regional Manager. Between 1981 and 1985, he was General Manager at Pronto Distributors, and then transferred to Spangler Candy Company, where he is the Central Region Sales Director. Lloyyd 

Lloyd served two tours in Vietnam, one as a Rear Admiral's USMC bodyguard on USS Enterprise. In 1969, he married his wife Cheryl in Reseda, CA. They have raised three daughters. He attributes his success to "an excellent family life, loving parents, integrity, honesty, and common sense." He enjoys golf, woodworking, and collecting a variety of items, including pins, die cast cars and trucks, and logo golf balls. He is a member of the Orchard Hills Country Club and El Prado Men's Club, where he has served on the Board of Directors for 10 years.
