FULFILLMENT CENTER - CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE
Primary responsibilities include providing efficient and courteous customer service, processing orders, maintenance of records, preparation of reports, and clerical duties.
Ideal candidate will possess good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Proficient intermediate level computer skills are necessary.
TECH ASSISTANT - QUALITY ASSURANCE
3rd shift position open in the Quality Assurance Department with the responsibilities of inspecting first piece sampling of products following standard procedures and allowable variation prescribed. Devices ordinary gauging/measuring set ups or makes adaptations to inspection equipment/fixtures. Stops production or notifies supervisor for excessive defects.
Ability to read, write, follow instructions, perform mathematical calculations, record /report information and draw conclusions from visual and/or physical inspection of assigned tasks. Minimum of High School education with knowledge of quality control procedures.

WAREHOUSEMAN - FULFILLMENT CENTER
Performs order fulfillment work assignments at the Spangler Fulfillment Center.
Essential Job Functions: Knowledge of Computer operations: various freight systems and Internet for order entry. Order fulfillment: pick, package and utilize proper freight system for order fulfillment including product for Save Wraps for Stuff and promotional orders. Fulfillment Center product knowledge.
Pack items in re-pack area and rotates stock for proper inventory management. Repack items from bulk boxes into single flavor containers. Properly label and shrink wrap single flavor containers.Repack candy canes and follows requirements for packaging delicate candy.Hand label or utilize label machine to label STP with specialty messages.Drives box truck to receive product or deliver at local locations.Perform regular facility sanitation and maintenance. Operates forklift and pallet jack equipment. Follows all Spangler Candy safety/sanitation policies and procedures.

Marginal Job Function: Keeps work area clean and orderly. Advises supervisor of packing problems or material needs. Performs and completes other work as assigned by supervisor.
Minimal Physical Requirements: Good vision, color vision, hearing, speaking and finger dexterity skills as well as ability to perform close work. Ability to work under time pressure, work rapidly for long periods, sit, stand, walk, reach, stoop, climb, lift and/or carry up to approximately 75 lbs
Minimum Mental/Cognitive Requirements: Ability to read, write, complete basic math activities and follow instructions. Ability to draw conclusions from visual and/or physical inspection of products. Accepts training and maintains skills necessary to meet new and changing technology. Accurate picking skills. Ability to use proper packing materials. License and ability to operate a fork truck and pallet jack. Good driving record and required license. Phone skills, answer and provide information. Requires excellent attendance.
Work Devices, Tools & Equipment: Bulk boxes, computer and hand held scanner, bander machine, shrink wrap machine, scales, utility knives, gloves, code daters, hand tapers and required PPE.
Working Conditions: Occasionally exposed to burns, cuts, falls, pinch points and back strain.
Spangler Candy Company is currently seeking a Programmer Analyst to fill a full time position with the Information Systems team. Ideal candidate will possess an Associate’s Degree or higher in computer/information technology and 2-5 years of experience. Must be proficient with I-Series, RPGLE, CLP, Microsoft Office Products and a plus if experience with .NET
Primary responsibilities include efficient programming and testing of all new system and programs. Updates existing programs and assists operations in resolutions of error. Provides training on informational tools and systems available. Evaluates and recommends program changes.
Successful candidate will possess strong listening, verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple assignments with challenging timelines and adapt to changing priorities.
PROCESS MECHANICS - MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT
Repairs, rebuilds and troubleshoots process equipment on the production floor and throughout the plant. Responsible for maintenance and adjustment of equipment to provide a quality product at an efficient, productive level. Works closely with the production process striving to improve quality and efficiency.
Troubleshoots process and related machinery breakdowns on the production floor and throughout the plant to determine repair requirements.
Performs simple electrical checks, disassembles equipment, makes repairs by replacing or fabricating needed parts or mechanisms; reassembles equipment and restores to proper operation.
Services all types of packaging and auxiliary equipment related to process machinery such as box makers, overwraps, labelers, printers, conveyors, air-operated devices, robots, etc., that are synchronized with the process. Fits, adjusts and properly times these devices.
Machines parts, solders, brazes and welds; installs piping, tubing and sheet metal, fabricating as needed.
Oils and greases machinery and performs daily preventative maintenance.
Instructs and assists production personnel in proper operation of equipment; ensures that safety devices are in place and operating properly.
Studies the production process constantly taking corrective action necessary to ensure an efficient, high quality product line.
Follows all Spangler Candy safety/sanitation policies and procedures.

Keeps work area clean and orderly including areas throughout the plant and facilities where work is performed.

Assists the Electrician with process repairs such as motor changes, etc.Performs and completes other work as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum of 1 to 2 years industrial maintenance experience preferably in a production process atmosphere. Must be able to read schematic diagrams, manuals, parts lists and detailed instructions. Troubleshooting requires mechanical aptitude and some imagination. Accepts training and maintains skills necessary to meet new and changing technology.
Various hand and power tools, assorted wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, wire cutters, hammers, utility knives, tape measure, lathes, mills, welders, soldering equipment, computer and required PPE.
Exposed to heat, dust, dirt, fumes, chemicals, dampness, vibrations, noise and cramped areas. Occasionally exposed to burns, cuts, falls, pinch points, electrical shock, sprains and strains.
CANDY PACKERS - PRODUCTION
Works individually or in a group along a conveyor, bagger operation or table to sort, inspect and package finished products. Assembles, folds and tapes cartons, inserts or boxes into which product is to be placed.
Bags or boxes product by hand, sort’s product that is obviously broken or imperfect and places in proper scrap container. Inspects candy visually to ensure proper color and wrap is maintained.
Stacks cartons of packaged candy on skid in prescribed order and dates and labels cartons when necessary.Cleans floors including white lines, walls, windows, partitions, sinks and doors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, washing, waxing and dusting throughout the facility.
Picks up string, sticks, slip sheets, pallets, cardboard and other debris by hand (including outside). Cleans manufacturing areas as directed including various production accessories by hand.
Uses container washer to clean utensils, rework containers, and other accessories.
